Day 11

Day 11: Listening to Native Conversations and Shadowing

Today, I focused on listening to more natural, native conversations to improve my listening skills and comprehension. I also practiced shadowing, which is repeating what I hear in real-time to get more comfortable with the flow of the language.

What did I do today?

Listening to Native Conversations:

I listened to a series of short conversations between native speakers, paying close attention to how they speak in natural settings.

I tried to catch common expressions and phrases used in daily life that might help me sound more natural.

Shadowing Practice:

I picked a short video with a native speaker and repeated what they said immediately after they said it. This was challenging, but it helped me match their rhythm and tone.

I tried to match the speaker's intonation and pronunciation as closely as possible, focusing on improving my fluency.

How did I feel today?
Shadowing was tough at first because I couldn’t keep up with the speaker, but after a few tries, I started to feel more confident. It really helped me with fluency, and I could hear the difference in my pronunciation.

Achievements of the Day

I learned new phrases and expressions used by native speakers.

Made progress with shadowing, even though it was challenging at times.

Plan for Tomorrow

Continue shadowing practice with different speakers.

Work on improving my fluency by speaking for longer periods without pausing.
