Day 14: Improving Listening Comprehension with Media


Today, I focused on improving my listening comprehension by consuming different forms of media in English. I wanted to challenge myself with various accents and speeds of speech to get better at understanding English in real-world situations.


What did I do today?


Listening to Different Types of Media:


I watched a documentary and listened to an interview podcast. Both had different accents, so I had to pay extra attention to understand everything clearly.


I took notes while listening, especially focusing on new expressions and phrases I didn’t understand at first.



Listening and Repetition:


I listened to short sections of the podcast again, paused, and repeated what I heard to improve my pronunciation and understanding.


I made a list of words and phrases that were challenging and looked them up.




How did I feel today?

Listening to different accents was challenging, but it was also rewarding. I didn’t understand everything, but I felt like I improved at picking out key details from the conversation. Repeating what I heard helped me sound more natural when I spoke.

 Day 24: Developing Confidence in Asking Questions Today, I focused on improving my ability to ask questions in English, whether for information, clarification, or starting conversations. Asking the right questions is essential for real-life communication, so my goal was to practice forming questions naturally and fluently. What did I do today? Day 5: Practicing Listening and Understanding Conversations Today, I decided to focus more on listening, as I believe it's a key part of language learning. By listening to conversations, we get the chance to improve our skills significantly. My goal was to understand conversations better and learn common words and phrases used in daily life.
