Day 5: Practicing Listening and Understanding Conversations

Today, I decided to focus more on listening, as I believe it's a key part of language learning. By listening to conversations, we get the chance to improve our skills significantly. My goal was to understand conversations better and learn common words and phrases used in daily life.

What did I do today?

Listening to Simple Conversations:

I watched short videos in English with subtitles. First, I focused on listening, and then checked the subtitles to make sure I understood everything.

I chose videos that had simple conversations between people in everyday situations like "at the cafe" or "shopping."


Reviewing New Vocabulary:

I learned new words while watching the videos and wrote them down to review later.



How did I feel today?
At first, I wasn't sure if I would be able to understand, but after a while, I started noticing that certain words were repeated across videos. This made me feel like I’m on the right track, and listening will definitely help me pick up new vocabulary.

Achievements of the Day

I was able to understand most of the simple conversations.

I learned around 10 new words and used them in sentences.

Continue listening but with longer videos.

Try using the new words in conversations with myself.

Day 11: Listening to Native Conversations and Shadowing Today, I focused on listening to more natural, native conversations to improve my listening skills and comprehension. I also practiced shadowing, which is repeating what I hear in real-time to get more comfortable with the flow of the language. What did I do today?  Day 24: Developing Confidence in Asking Questions Today, I focused on improving my ability to ask questions in English, whether for information, clarification, or starting conversations. Asking the right questions is essential for real-life communication, so my goal was to practice forming questions naturally and fluently. What did I do today? Practicing Question Forms: I reviewed how to form different types of questions, including: Yes/No questions (e.g., “Do you like coffee?”). WH-questions (e.g., “Where do you usually go on weekends?”).
