Day 19
Day 19: Focusing on Grammar and Sentence Variety
Today, I concentrated on improving my grammar, especially on using different types of sentences. My goal was to make my speech and writing more varied and natural by practicing complex and compound sentences.
What did I do today?
Grammar Practice:
I focused on understanding and practicing complex sentences, especially ones with subordinate clauses (e.g., “Although I was tired, I decided to keep studying”).
I also worked on using conjunctions and transitional phrases to connect ideas more smoothly (e.g., "however", "on the other hand", "in addition").
Writing Exercise:
I wrote a short essay on a topic I enjoy, making sure to use a variety of sentence structures and connectors. I also focused on punctuation to make my writing clearer.
How did I feel today?
Working with complex sentences was challenging, but I felt good when I was able to create smoother, more interesting sentences. It was exciting to notice how much more varied my writing became.
Achievements of the Day
Practiced and used complex sentences with subordinate clauses.
Wrote an essay with a variety of sentence structures and transitional phrases.
