Day 23

Day 23: Practicing Opinions and Discussions

Today, I focused on expressing my opinions and discussing different topics in English. The goal was to improve my ability to share ideas clearly, use appropriate phrases for agreement and disagreement, and build confidence in longer discussions.

What did I do today?

Expressing Opinions:

I chose simple topics, like “Is it better to live in a big city or a small town?” or “What’s more important, money or happiness?” and practiced giving my opinion in a structured way.

I used phrases like “I think…,” “In my opinion…,” and “I believe…” to make my points clear.

Practicing Agreement and Disagreement:

I practiced responding to imaginary statements by agreeing or disagreeing. For example, “I agree because…” or “I see your point, but I think…”

I tried to make my arguments stronger by giving examples or reasons.

Recording My Thoughts:

I recorded myself discussing a topic for two minutes without stopping. Then, I listened to it to check for fluency and areas where I could improve.

How did I feel today?

It was challenging to think and speak at the same time, especially when explaining reasons or examples. However, by the end of the practice, I felt more comfortable expressing my thoughts in English. It’s a skill I’ll need to keep building, but today was a good start.

Achievements of the Day

Practiced expressing opinions clearly and confidently.

Learned useful phrases for agreeing, disagreeing, and supporting arguments.

Plan for Tomorrow

Continue practicing discussions with more challenging or abstract topics.

Try to write a short paragraph about one topic to reinforce the vocabulary and ideas.
