Day 25
Day 25: Improving Pronunciation and Speaking with Confidence
Today, I focused on improving my pronunciation to make my speech clearer and more confident. My goal was to reduce mistakes caused by unclear pronunciation and sound more natural while speaking English.
What did I do today?
Pronunciation Exercises:
I started by listening to short words and sentences on pronunciation apps and repeating them out loud. I focused on tricky sounds like "th" and the difference between "v" and "f."
I practiced in front of a mirror to observe my lip and tongue movements while saying the words.
Reading Aloud:
I read short passages out loud, paying attention to the rhythm and stress of the sentences.
I recorded myself reading and played it back to spot mistakes and areas to improve.
Shadowing Practice:
I listened to native speakers in videos and repeated their sentences right after them, imitating their tone, speed, and pronunciation as closely as possible.
How did I feel today?
At first, it was hard to match the native speakers’ pace, especially with longer sentences. But after repeating several times, I noticed my pronunciation becoming clearer, and I felt more confident speaking out loud.
Achievements of the Day
Improved tricky sounds like "th" and "v."
Spoke with better rhythm and stress during reading practice.
Plan for Tomorrow
Continue shadowing native speakers to improve fluency and pronunciation.
Practice speaking longer sentences or paragraphs with a focus on maintaining clarity.
