Day 26
Day 26: Practicing Conversations with Fluency and Emotion
Today, I worked on making my conversations more natural by focusing on fluency, tone, and adding emotion to my speech. My goal was to sound less robotic and more expressive when speaking English.
What did I do today?
Fluency Practice:
I practiced speaking about simple topics (like my daily routine or favorite food) without pausing too much. I timed myself to see how long I could talk without stopping.
I worked on connecting words smoothly and using fillers like “you know,” “I mean,” and “well” to sound more natural.
Tone and Emotion Practice:
I read a short dialogue from a script and focused on adding the right emotions, like excitement, surprise, or sadness.
I recorded myself and compared it to how native speakers express emotions in their speech.
Interactive Practice:
I imagined I was talking to someone and practiced responding naturally with appropriate emotions, like being polite when asking for something or enthusiastic when sharing good news.
How did I feel today?
It felt great to add more life to my speech. At first, I wasn’t sure how to make my tone sound natural, but listening to native speakers helped a lot. I also noticed that practicing fillers made my conversations flow better.
