Day 32

Day 32: Improving Writing Skills with Focus on Emails and Messages

Today, I worked on improving my writing skills, specifically focusing on formal emails and casual messages. My goal was to practice structuring my writing properly and choosing the right tone based on the context.

What did I do today?

Formal Emails:

I learned how to structure formal emails, including the greeting, body, and closing. For example:

Greeting: “Dear Sir/Madam,”

Body: “I am writing to inquire about...”

Closing: “Kind regards, [Your Name].”

I practiced writing a formal email asking about a course or job opportunity.

Casual Messages:

I practiced writing short, informal messages like texting a friend or replying in a group chat.

Used casual phrases like “Hey, what’s up?” or “Let me know when you’re free.”

Editing and Reviewing:

I reviewed the emails and messages I wrote to check for grammar, tone, and clarity.

I also compared my writing to examples online to make sure I was on the right track.

How did I feel today?

Writing formal emails felt challenging at first because I had to think carefully about the structure and tone. Casual messages were easier, but I focused on making them more natural and engaging. By the end, I felt more confident in both styles.

Achievements of the Day

Wrote a clear and professional formal email.

Practiced informal messages that sounded more natural and conversational.

Plan for Tomorrow

Start working on storytelling through writing to improve creativity and sentence structure.

Focus on writing longer paragraphs with a mix of formal and informal styles.
